This ground and first floor garden flat was cluttered, small and had bedrooms located on the ground floor. The client requested a full reconfiguration of the property, opening up the living space and re-locating the bedrooms to the first floor.

Working closely with Elemental Studio, an interior design practise, we came up with collaborative ideas to optimise the space as well as incorporating some wonderfully ‘quirky’ design features.
The property was stripped back to a virtual shell leaving only a few supporting walls intact, and we essentially rebuilt the entire flat from the ground up. The staircase was relocated and the bedrooms moved to the first floor, allowing for a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor.

The client requested large expansive glass openings, which we achieved with an array of bi-fold doors. The sliding post detail of the doors enables both sides of the elevation to fold back revealing a corner less opening cantilevering out onto the private courtyard.
